3 Days of Desert Adventure and Dark-Sky Astronomy
Project Orion, an astronomy outreach initiative of Invincible NGO, takes you to the Thar Desert for three days of stargazing, adventure, and culture. Camp in tents among the golden dunes, with some of the clearest night skies in India overhead.
Day 1: Arrival, Adventure and the Night Sky
Report at the Invincible Campsite at 11:00 AM and settle in over lunch. The day is for desert adventure: a camel safari across the dunes, parasailing, and a jeep safari. As night falls, the sky takes over:
